The Strategic Program CIEN finances large industrial research projects developed in collaboration by business groups. The projects must have the objective of carrying out industrial research activities in which they acquire knowledge and techniques that can be useful for the creation of new products, processes and services, or considerably improve existing ones.
The beneficiaries of the grants will be consortia formed by groupings of companies, formalized through a private partnership agreement. Each consortium must be constituted by a minimum of three and a maximum of 8 companies. At least two will have to be autonomous and one will have to be considered SMEs. The projects, in addition, will have to have a relevant participation of research organizations, from a qualitative and quantitative point of view.
The projects must have a minimum budget of € 5,000,000 and a maximum budget of € 20,000,000.
